On Saturday around the third weekend in August the downtown street is closed from 8am - 5pm. This is a great evening for family and friends with great entertainment.

The Wooden ROO Antiques Almaguin Highlands
Burks Falls is a great town to visit while you are vacationing in the Almaguin Highlands near Algonquin Park and Muskoka. Stay at a Cottage Resort and enjoy boating, swimming, hiking, walking, cycling and many other great attractions in the area.
Make sure you take some time to visit The Wooden Roo store in Burks Falls where you will find great local crafts, pine furniture, oak furniture, handcrafted gifts and lots of great gifts from many local artisans.
Head over to the information centre where you will find a falls at the dam, specialty coffee, hot chocolate and fudge then continue just down that road for a short ways to find Screaming Heads. A local artist and school teacher Peter Camani has amazing art on display on acres and acres of land. The house is also a piece of art work. Screaming Heads was also featured on HGTV for extreme homes. This is a must see located on Midlothian Road in Burks Falls, Ontario. Peter does not charge you to see what he has created but he kindly accepts donations.
